Privacy Policy
Last updated 3 November 2026
This policy explains what information 10flat Law PLLC (“10flat Law”, “we”) collects through this website and the “Start your case” form, how we use it and the choices you have. Once you hire us, your fee agreement and our duty of confidentiality as lawyers also protect what you tell us.
What we collect
What you give us. When you send a case review request we receive your name, mobile number, what happened and when, the Texas county, your preferred language, whether you have seen a doctor or dentist, the insurance company involved, whether a government vehicle or property was involved, whether you already have a lawyer, your description of the incident and your injuries, and any photos or documents you attach. While you fill in the form, your answers are kept on your own device (in your browser) so a dropped connection doesn’t lose them; they are deleted when you send the form or press “Start over”, and we don’t see them until you send. If you message us on WhatsApp, by text or by email, we receive what you send there.
What our systems record. Like any website, our hosting provider records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working. Fonts load from outside providers (Google Fonts and Framer), which receive your IP address when your browser fetches them. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages and buttons are used; it does not use cookies and does not identify you. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
Text messages
If you tick the consent box on the case form, we may text you about your request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop texts.
How we use it
- To review whether we can help with your case and to tell you the answer.
- To contact you about your request by phone, text, WhatsApp or email.
- To check for conflicts of interest, as lawyers must.
- If you hire us, to prepare and pursue your case.
- To keep the records the law and the rules for lawyers require, and to protect the website from abuse.
Technology, including AI
We use software, including AI tools, to organize the information you send, build timelines, total bills and prepare drafts. A licensed Texas attorney reviews and approves legal work. Nothing goes to an insurance company, a court or the other side’s lawyer without your attorney’s approval, and every decision about an offer is yours.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only:
- With service providers that run our systems for us, such as our website host (Vercel), Google (where we store requests, files and email) and, if you message us there, WhatsApp (Meta). They may use it only to provide their service to us.
- If you hire us, with the people your case requires, such as insurance companies, the other side, courts, medical providers and experts, and only as your case needs.
- When the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
Messages you send on WhatsApp are also covered by WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy. We move files you send us there into our own storage.
How long we keep it
If we do not take your case, we keep your request only as long as we need it to check conflicts and meet our professional obligations, and then delete it. If we represent you, we keep your file for the period the rules for Texas lawyers require after your case ends.
How we protect it
Information travels to us over an encrypted connection, and only the people working on your request can open it. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send highly sensitive records, such as full medical records, through the website form; your attorney will ask for them securely.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it or delete it, unless the law or our duties as lawyers require us to keep it. You can tell us at any time that you no longer want us to contact you. Write to contact@10flatlaw.com.
Children
This website is for adults. If a child was hurt, a parent or guardian should contact us on the child’s behalf.
Changes
If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new date.
